CHANGELOG
What changed, and when.
Newest first. Updates install themselves from inside Resolve and are free, including new major versions.
1.3.1
CURRENT
FIXED
Presets apply every setting they claim to
A saved layout could report that it had been applied while quietly dropping one of the settings it contained. It now applies all of them, or tells you which one it could not.
1.3.0
NEW
An edit checks the licence as it starts
Starting an edit now confirms your licence with the server rather than trusting what was stored on the machine. PodoCut has to be online to begin a cut; everything after that still happens locally.
1.2.2
FIXED
The edit window says what it is waiting for
The progress window used to sit on "Starting…" while it worked. It now names the stage it is in, so a slow step reads as progress rather than as a hang.
1.2.1
FIXED
The timeline strip is readable again
With several speakers, the filling progress bar ran together into one colour. The speaker colours are now spaced far enough apart to tell apart at a glance.
1.2.0
NEW
An About window, and somewhere to sign out
The panel now has an About window showing the version and who you are signed in as, with a sign-out button — which is what you use before moving your licence to another machine.
1.1.0
NEW
Wide shots you place yourself
Put markers on the timeline where you want the edit to cut wide, and PodoCut uses those instead of choosing for you. Leave the markers off and it goes back to placing them itself.
1.0.4
FIXED
A dropped connection no longer signs you out
A licence withdrawn on the server now signs the machine out as it was always meant to, and a brief network failure no longer does — the two had been the wrong way round.
1.0.3
FIXED
The panel spacing is even
The left edge of the panel had less padding than the right. Both sides now match.
1.0.2
NEW
Signing in survives an update
You no longer have to sign in again after PodoCut updates itself.
1.0.1
FIXED
Windows appear finished, not half-built
Panels and dialogs used to appear blank and then assemble themselves on screen. Each one is now drawn before it is shown.
1.0.0
NEW
PodoCut 1.0
The first release: speaker detection from your own camera audio, multi-camera cutting inside Resolve, saved layouts, stacked or flattened output, and updates that install themselves.
Versions before 1.0 were development builds and were never released. Installers for every released version are on the releases page.
